Dr. Kelly Hale is Director of Human Systems Integration at Design Interactive, Inc. She has over 8 years experience in human-computer interaction, cognitive processes within multimodal systems and virtual environments, multimodal system design and evaluation, usability evaluation methods of advanced technologies, and training transfer. Dr. Hale is Principal Investigator of multiple Phase I and II SBIR efforts funded by ONR, DARPA and NASA, and is research and technical lead of innovative augmented cognition technology development funded by IARPA. Dr. Hale led development efforts of the Multimodal Information Design Support (MIDS) system designed to guide design of complex, information-rich commandcenters using multimodal strategies to optimize human performance.
